Programs & Services / Support Groups

Research has shown that participation in ongoing professionally facilitated support groups provides many benefits, including decreased emotional distress, less pain, quicker return to work, and better quality of life.

CSC offers separate weekly groups for people living with cancer, as well as for family and friends who are supporting a loved one with cancer.

In addition to weekly support groups, CSC also offers another opportunity to connect with others and learn from shared experiences—Networking Groups. These groups bring together Individuals coping with particular types of cancers, or facing particular cancer-related issues, generally on a monthly basis. Networking Groups are drop-in (no registration required) and are open to both people diagnosed with cancer and loved ones. For a list of current networking groups, click Networking Group Offerings.
