Programs & Services / Educational Programs
"CSC provides a safe place to talk and learn about serious medical issues, and has
resources both in its library and real people who have faced and dealt with the
many decisions that surround having to battle cancer."
Several times each month, CSC offers FREE educational workshops that provide people with cancer and their loved ones with tools to manage their treatment and recovery as effectively as possible.
Many top oncologists, radiologists and other medical specialists give presentations at CSC. These programs provide an opportunity to ask questions and gain in-depth knowledge about specific cancer-related issues. In addition to outstanding local programs, several times a year CSC hosts workshops from the nationally renowned “Frankly Speaking About Cancer” series of educational programs on a variety of specific cancers or cancer-related issues.
In addition to presentations on medical topics, the range of CSC’s educational programs also includes healthy cooking and nutrition classes, programs on topics such as insurance, financial planning and career issues, sessions on spirituality and emotional well-being, and a variety of creative expression classes designed to help you cope with the cancer experience.
