Community of Hope

"Nothing is quite the same as talking with someone who understands about cat scans and chemo brain and fatigue and all the things that are so common to many cancers. And when you’re here, everybody understands. And there’s nothing like that kind of support." - CSC Community Member

  • Nutrition and cooking : Led by chefs and certified dieticians, participants can learn how to plan and prepare a cancer-fighting diet. Focused on clean eating and easy, replicable meals, our nutrition and cooking classes are some of our most popular programs. Participants can get hands-on experience preparing clean meals and instructors provide take-home copies of all recipes prepared. While chefs do not issue medical advice, they may suggest alternatives to certain foods to help participants find health and strength through nutrition.

  • Family and children support : At CSC, we believe in supporting the whole family the whole time. Cancer affects a family in many ways. Every family member’s experience is unique and different, often making it hard to know how to provide support to one another. Without attention to their worries, fears, and misconceptions, children are at risk for educational, emotional and behavioral problems. We support the whole family, the whole time.
