Healthy Lifestyle Classes

As part of its mission, CSC provides classes and programs to strengthen individuals through action. Because stress is proven to weaken the immune system, our healthy lifestyle programs offer techniques and skills to reduce stress and promote healing. Classes are open to both patients and their friends and family and include activities such as tai chi, Pilates, yoga, mindfulness meditation and Zumba gold.

Cooking for Wellness

A variety of nutrition and cooking experts visit CSC monthly to teach you how to incorporate healthy and delicious dishes into your diet. Recipes and taste samples are always provided.

Dream Group

A group that explores different ways of unlocking the meaning of your dreams, and helps you put your dreams to work for you.

Healthy Steps: Lebed Method

A fun movement program to help cancer survivors reduce or prevent lymphedema and increase their range of motion - all while lifting their spirits!

Holistic Self-Care Methods

Find empowerment through guided imagery, visualization, and relaxation techniques.

Mindfulness Meditation

Mindfulness Meditation is about wakefulness : the art of paying attention to what we think, feel, and experience in a way that helps us regain a sense of control.

Moving for Life

This movement program is especially designed for the side effects of cancer treatment such as fatigue, joint pain, lymphedema, neuropathy/balance issues, and reduced range of motion. It is endorsed by leading oncologists, psychologists, surgeons and exercise experts.

Pilates

Improve your body awareness, posture, flexibility and agility in this refreshing mind-body workout.

Rebuilding Health

Low-impact strengthening and flexibility fitness class, emphasizing balance, core and functional training

Reiki Share

If you’ve taken Reiki I or higher, come reconnect to the healing energy and practice your skills on yourself and others. Sarah Dailey, Reiki Master and teacher, assists in hand positions and answers questions to reinforce your abilities. The group energy is amazing.

Yoga: General

Enjoy a gentle class featuring stretching, toning, breathing and relaxation. As a bonus, yoga strengthens the immune system and bones. No experience or flexibility is needed. Mats are provided.

Gentle Yoga

This is a gentle, relaxing practice that provides an effective way to: reduce stress, manage treatment side effects, relieve pain, regain health and attain peace of mind.

Water aerobics to build strength and stamina, and manage lymphedema. Class size is limited to 10 with priority given to those at risk for lymphedema. Pre-registration and participation waiver are required – call (513) 791-4060.

Zumba Gold

The design of this class introduces easy to follow Zumba choreography that focuses on balance, range of motion and coordination. Come ready to sweat, and prepare to leave empowered and feeling strong. Class focuses on all elements of fitness: cardiovascular, muscular conditioning, flexibility and balance.
